NHS 24 will triage all calls and give advice or ask you to attend the local centre. The centres are run by Lothian Health and you will be seen by a nurse or a doctor as appropriate, and given the medical attention needed.
If you call the emergency line in the surgery, 552 4919, before 0800hrs or after 1800hrs Monday to Friday or at anytime over the weekend, you will be directed to the NHS 24 number. The responsibility for out of hours cover lies with Lothian Health.
