Travel Advice

Our practice nurses are trained to provide a comprehensive travel service offering advice/administration of most immunisations and scripts for malaria prevention.

Remember to discuss your travel immunisations with the practice nurse well ahead of your departure as some immunisations require many weeks to complete the course.

Some immunisations are available free of charge on the NHS.

  • Diphtheria
  • Tetanus
  • Polio
  • Hepatitis A
  • Typhoid
  • Cholera

The following immunisations incur a charge

  • Hepatitis
  • Yellow Fever
  • Japanese Encephalitis
  • Tick Borne Encephalitis
  • Meningitis ACWY
  • Rabies

Provision of the undernoted malaria tablets will also incur a charge

  • Malarone
  • Doxycycline
  • Mefloquine

Certain travel prescriptions are not available on the NHS and you will also need to pay the chemist.
